Jibreel Khumas is an established artist who works in many areas of creativity. While his past includes professional modern dance in New York City, and he currently writes poetry and music in the Twin Cities. His work in heavily influenced by the Black experience in America, a theme that has not only inspired him but at times has helped him heal and mourn. Jibreel shares with us his perspective on how poetry can influence an entire generation, discusses his recent artists' showcase, and shares a sneak peak of his moving spoken word performances.
