The actor (KJ Apa) who plays Archie on RIVERDALE was involved in a car accident after driving after a 14-hour workday.
The good news is, KJ is okay. The car isn't. But it could have been a lot worse. Now the studio is under fire for labor practices. A Variety report quotes two statements issues by a studio spokesperson:
“The safety of the cast and crew on all of our productions is of paramount importance to the Studio. … Productions adhere to the Screen Actors Guild-mandated turnaround time of 12 hours from wrap time to next day call time for cast members.”
Fans of the star have been tweeting their concerns and their relief that he's okay:
Others have been sounding off on the danger of working long hours and driving:
We are just glad he's okay.
RIVERDALE's new season is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 11, on The CW Twin Cities
